If you’re having difficulty in locating the craps table inside a casino, just follow the screams and cheers. I guarantee there is excitement occurring, as some player is on a hot streak that is making everyone money at the table.
The Game of Craps
Craps is a fast-moving game that can be pretty difficult to comprehend at first. Experience players will have several bets riding on a roll of the dice, as playing craps will require a larger bankroll than any other casino game.
The Come-out Roll
The betting process will begin with a come-out roll or the first roll of the dice. A player will be designated as the shooter, and your initial bet could be betting the pass line or betting with the shooter. You’re a winner if the roll comes up “7 or 11.” The other bet is don’t pass line or betting against the shooter. You’re a winner if the shooter craps out on his roll by throwing a “2 or 3.” If the come-out roll is any other number, then that number becomes the shooter’s “point.” If the point is made before the next “7” is rolled then a pass bet has won. If a “7” has come up before the point then don’t pass bettors have won, and the dice are handed off to a new shooter.
Field Bets
Proposition bets are played on the center of the table. Some call this playing “the field” or predicting the outcome of one roll of the dice. Your betting that either a “4 though 10” will be rolled before the shooter can roll a “7.” Field bets can be played before any roll, including the come-out roll.
