Tips to Play Blackjack
Blackjack is by far the most popular game played in casinos today. It is a great game for a novice to learn the basics of gambling, as blackjack is more engaging than playing slots and less complicated to play than poker. Here are tips to learn before sitting-in on a hand of blackjack.
.
The Blackjack Table
Never choose a blackjack table that has betting limits more than five percent of your bankroll. Staying within your limits will allow you to play for an extended period of time. Experience players will tell to you the more hands you play, the likely your luck will change over time.
Placing a Blackjack Bet
Never leave currency in your betting box on the blackjack table. Some of the newer casinos will not accept cash bets under any circumstance. Inform the dealer of your intentions on what you’re doing with the money on the table. Never keep the game in question.
Chip Etiquette
Once you have made your bet, keep your hands off the chips until the game has ended. Casinos encourage you to place the smallest denomination of chips on top, as this will help them to guard against players from adding larger denomination chips to their bet after the outcome of the hand is known.
Bad Streak
If you’re losing pretty consistently on one table, just walk away before losing your entire bankroll. Don’t feel the urge to win back your money in one sitting or hold a grudge against the dealer. Come up with a rule on quitting blackjack prior to arriving at the casino and stick to the rule.
